As the prime minister of the group, I would state that the government shows lack of skill in management. The present situation of the country has been tainted with poverty, corruption, and lack of sanitation. Beggars litter every street, corrupted politicians misuse funds, and plastics and wrappers float in the already-dead rivers. The rice crisis, the controversial NAIA-3 terminal, the ZTE scandal, and the dust and grime in public toilets figuratively depict the poor management of the government. So the issue of this post is whether the government fails to satisfy people's needs.
My main argument here is about the problems created (and revived) by the government. The poor performance started with the country's top rank in corruption. Then it is followed by sets of impeachment trials, the ZTE scandal, the NAIA-3 controversy, the rice crisis, and the Meralco's system loss controversy. And to cap it off, President Gloria Arroyo's mistakes raised many eyebrows. According to Philippine Daily Inquirer, senators criticized Arroyo of being insensitive to the typhoon Frank, as the President ventured off to another country. And according to The Philippine Star, Former President Joseph Estrada claimed that Arroyo has no sense of history when she proclaimed June 9 as a non-working holiday for Independence Day. So this means that the Arroyo administration has done poorly in the economy and the image of the country.
That is all for the Prime Minister. Thank you.
